Known as the Longevity Fruit, Goji Berries have been highly prized and used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for thousands of centuries. TCM considers these berries to have the ability to maintain the function of eyes, nourish the liver and kidney and help moisten the lungs.

Nature's Superfoods Dried Goji Berries are specially selected, and are organically grown in the pristine, high-altitude Tibetan Plateau. The isolation of the plateau, known to be free from pollution and gifted with lots of sun, crystal clear waters (from melted snow) and clean air quality, provide the perfect environmental conditions for growing these wonderful Goji berries.

In keeping to our promise of premium quality superfoods for our customers, our Goji Berries have to pass tests for pesticide residue and heavy metals. There are no added sugars, sulphites, additives or preservatives. This ensures that our Goji Berries meet the highest consumption food standards.

Futhermore, Nature's Superfoods Dried Goji Berries are super-sized, hence, making them a perfect snack that is naturally sweet and chewy.

1) Improves Eye Health, May Prevent Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Goji berries have high levels of antioxidants (especially carotenoid zeaxanthin, along with lutein and lycopene) which can benefit vision significantly particularly in cases of AMD (Age-related Macular Degeneration). Increased daily intake of foods containing zeaxanthin & lutein, like Goji, can be effective in preventing AMD– the leading cause of blindness in older adults.

Goji is one of the richest plant sources known for zeaxanthin content. As you get older, we recommend you snack on Goji, or steep these berries in hot tea daily, as a natural treatment to strengthen your vision. Don’t wait till it is too late!

2) Slows Aging Process, Helps Promote Healthy Skin

Consuming a wide variety of antioxidant-rich foods, like Goji, are beneficial in protecting against premature aging, and to reduce cellular damage by oxidative stress.

Goji Berries also contain unique polysaccharides (Lycium barbarum polysaccharides) which help enhance the immune function and improve the activity of the pituitary gland, making it produce more human growth hormone to renew and repair muscle and skin cells.

A study has also suggested that Goji Berries are effective in protecting the skin from UV light damage.

3) Improves Immune System

All dark blue/black/red berries, including Goji Berries, are good sources of antioxidants that help boost immunity and protect against inflammation. Goji berries are well-known adaptogens which help our bodies adapt to external stress and bring them back to their normal, balanced state.

The outstanding antioxidants of Goji Berries include a number of anti-inflammatory enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GPx); plus other important antioxidants such as beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, vitamin C, among others.

Goji is also thought to have anti-cancer effects by inhibiting tumor growth and inducing apoptosis (the process of programmed cell death).

4) Helps Protect/Cleanse the Liver and Nourish the Kidneys

Goji helps prevent fatty liver disease and promote the regeneration of liver cells. According to TCM, consuming goji berries help act positively on both the “liver channel” and the “kidney channel” by nourishing and detoxifying the liver and kidney.

5) May Improve Energy Level, Mental Performance, Athletic Performance & Quality of Sleep, according to studies done.

6) May Help Improve Blood Sugar Control

Read the studies here. In China, Goji has been used for the treatment of adult-onset diabetes for many years, as it is said to balance blood sugar and insulin response.

Snacking on Goji Berries make a much healthier alternative to high-sugar snacks, or snacks with artificial sweeteners.

How to enjoy Dried Goji Berries:

Our Tibetan Goji Berries are super-sized, naturally moist, sweet and chewy. Goji is a low-GI food which will not spike blood sugar levels.

Storage: Moist goji berries tend to clump together - pls refrigerate the berries if you want to reduce stickiness. For a much longer shelf life, freeze the berries in a sealed pack.

Recommended daily intake: 15g or a handful a day for healthy adults.

1) Healthy Snack: Eat Goji Berries out of the bag! A small handful will do. Combine with other dried berries or nuts for variety.

2) Tea: Add a handful of dried berries to hot water or tea for 5-10 minutes. The berries will swell and become juicer. Drink the tea along with the hydrated berries.

3) Add a handful of dried berries to morning cereals, salads, porridge, trail mix, yogurt, smoothies and granola.

4) Cook your favorite recipe with Goji Berries, or add to soups (which is common in Chinese cuisine).

5) Goji Energy Balls / Bars: Blend a handful of Goji Berries together with a cup of walnuts, 1/2 cup almonds, and 4-6 dates in a food processor. Form the dough mixture into small bite-sized balls or spread in a deep pan to make bars.
