For delicious, warming & relaxing GINGER TEA (good for sore throat, dry cough and to relieve cold symptoms) :
In a cup of boiled water, add ½ teaspoon (about 1 g) ginger powder. Cover the cup and allow the tea to cool 10-15 minutes before consumption. Sweeten with 1 teaspoon of Nature’s Superfoods Raw Honey if desired. Lemon goes well with this. Enjoy!
Recommended daily serving : 1g – 4g (max) a day.
The best time to consume ginger is in the morning. Avoid taking ginger at night. Never consume too much ginger (more than 1tsp or 2g) at one time.
Ginger should not be used if you have a bleeding disorder or take blood-thinning medications (aspirin, warfarin etc.). Ginger acts as a blood thinner, so curb use at least two weeks before surgery.
Ginger powder is safe to be consumed by pregnant women, in moderate amounts.
For cooking recipes: Use ¼ teaspoon of ginger powder for each tablespoon of fresh grated ginger as a substitute. If the recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of minced fresh ginger, use ½ teaspoon of ginger powder.
