Whey Protein

Whey protein is widely regarded as the staple supplement by athletes and bodybuilders. Whey is actually a protein derived from milk, and is most well-known for its super-fast absorption rate by the human body, and thus earning its reputation as the most popular sports supplement. In general, there are 2 types of whey protein: Whey protein concentrate (WPC) and whey protein isolate (WPI).

WPC go through less filtration, thus it has a little bit of fats, carbs, and lactose left, whereas WPI undergo a much more rigorous filtration process and are almost completely fats, carbs, and lactose free. WPI also offer a faster absorption rate compared to WPC. However, WPC tend to have much higher microfactions count. Microfactions are great nutrients for supplementing overall good health.
